Sr Site Manager

Polyvantis was formed in 2024 to combine two of the world’s most well know brands (Lexan® and Plexiglass®) into a dynamic and growing company. Built on over 120 years of technical knowledge, we manufacture and distribute products that are used in almost every sector imaginable. High end automobiles, military and commercial airframes and electronics are all possible thanks to our brands. The Campinas Site supplies solid sheet, corrugated sheet and multi-wall products primarily to the South America market, but also globally.
Position Purpose
The Senior Site Manager – Campinas is responsible for leading the site’s manufacturing operations, ensuring the efficient execution of production activities and achievement of targets related to safety, quality, productivity, cost, and people development.
The role oversees plant operations, ensuring that production processes are aligned with business strategies and corporate standards. The professional also develops operational teams and implements continuous-improvement initiatives, ensuring operational efficiency and sustainable site results.
The role has also a close link to Product management and the Commercial Team to ensure mid/long-term Product and Capability Strategies are in sync.
Key Responsibilities
Operations and Production Management
- Manage manufacturing operations at the Campinas site, ensuring efficient execution of production activities and achievement of operational targets.
- Define, jointly with company and plant leadership, operating parameters and production targets aligned with business strategies.
- Prioritize and monitor production projects, ensuring that the resources required for efficient execution are available.
- Develop short/mid/long term strategies to strengthen the capabilities and cost position of the site.
- Developing CAPEX and maintenance plans, ensuring on-time and in-budget deployment
- Adherence to schedules, budgets and production targets
- Representation of the Campinas site to Authorities and Neighbors
- Actively cooperate with other Polyvantis sites to ensure best practice exchange generating value creation opportunities
Leadership and People Development
- Lead and develop operational teams, including supervisors and area leaders, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Set clear performance expectations and support employees’ professional development through coaching, training, and ongoing feedback.
- Promote an organizational culture based on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Safety, Quality and Environmental Management
- Ensure that site operations comply with Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (EHSQ) standards.
- Define and communicate goals and plans related to operational safety and the plant’s environmental performance.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Operational Planning and Continuous Improvement
- Develop and implement investment and continuous-improvement projects that contribute to increased operational efficiency and plant competitiveness.
- Manage the site’s technology and operational plans, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies.
- Make strategic operational decisions based on technical, operational, and financial analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Solid experience in industrial operations, preferably in the chemical, petrochemical, or plastics industries.
- Experience in operations management and leadership of industrial teams.
- Experience in production-process, quality, and operational-safety management.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma is considered a plus.
