- Conduct demand forecasting and capacity planning to meet market needs while minimizing costs.
- Lead the regional S&OP process end to end: run the monthly demand review, supply review, and executive S&OP meeting, and close gaps between the demand plan, the supply plan, and financial targets.
- Own the regional demand plan: build the statistical baseline, reach a consensus forecast with Sales, track forecast accuracy and bias, and hold the forecast owners accountable.
- Own the regional supply plan: balance demand against plant capacity, raw material availability, and inventory targets, and align the plan with the global supply network.
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and supply chain performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Production and Scheduling Management:
- Oversee production planning and scheduling to ensure alignment with demand forecasts and customer orders.
- Collaborate with plant operations teams to optimize production schedules and reduce lead times.
- Monitor plant capacity utilization and coordinate adjustments as needed.
- Logistics and Distribution:
- Manage regional logistics operations, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, and distribution networks.
- Lead day-to-day logistics operations and drive logistics cost reduction (US$/kg) through carrier, mode, and network optimization.
- Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure cost-effective service levels.
- Monitor delivery performance and address any delays or disruptions to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
- Inventory Management:
- Implement inventory policies and practices to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing obsolescence and excess inventory.
- Analyze inventory turnover rates (DIOH) and aging reports to improve inventory health and reduce slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
- Develop and execute action plans for slow-moving inventory to improve inventory efficiency and free up working capital.
- Ensure inventory practices comply with corporate and regulatory standards.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, including planners, schedulers, and logistics coordinators.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability within the supply chain team.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain effectiveness and efficiency.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting performance, risks, and improvement initiatives.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure supply chain alignment with business goals.
- Participate in regional and global supply chain projects, sharing best practices and innovations.
- Support the integration of new systems and technologies, leveraging SAP S/4 HANA, to enhance supply chain performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with a focus on regional operations and demonstrated depth in S&OP, demand planning, supply planning, and logistics operations.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across diverse teams and regions.
- Project management experience with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and tools, including S&OP, statistical demand forecasting, supply and capacity planning, ERP systems (particularly SAP S/4 HANA), and advanced Excel.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Understanding of logistics regulations and trade compliance requirements.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel within the region as needed (10–25% travel).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
