Role Purpose
As a Senior Inventory & Product Costing Analyst, you bridge Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Finance. You translate operational processes into accurate financial transactions, inventory valuation, product costing and management reporting. Initially, you will temporarily support product costing activities for our German operations. For the long goal this role is a global position within Business Control, focused on standardizing inventory valuation and product costing processes across POLYVANTIS.
Key responsibilities
1. Inventory Accounting & Product Costing

- Support inventory accounting and product costing activities
- Execute and monitor Material Ledger processes
- Review production order settlements, WIP and manufacturing variances
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation in line with accounting standards

2. Process Improvement & Standardization

- Translate operational manufacturing processes into financial transactions
- Drive standardization of inventory valuation and product costing processes • Support SAP process improvements and automation initiatives
- Develop process documentation and training materials

3. Compliance & Controls

- Support IFRS, local GAAP and tax-compliant inventory valuation
- Maintain and improve inventory-related internal controls
- Support audit activities and compliance requirements
- Manage topics such as obsolescence, LCM, ICP eliminations and inventory reserves

4. Analysis & Reporting

- Analyze inventory movements, variances and valuation drivers
- Support COGS and inventory reporting
- Deliver business insights to Finance and Operations
- Support working capital and inventory optimization initiatives

5. CO (controlling) Master data / system changes
-

- Maintain periodic allocation cycles
- Support in user acceptance testing (cross-) functional initiatives

Requirements
Must-have
-

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics, or similar
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Accounting with a strong focus on Inventory Accounting and Product Costing
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of inventory valuation principles and product costing methodologies
- Experience translating operational manufacturing processes into financial transactions
- Strong SAP knowledge, preferably within FICO, Material Ledger, and Product Costing
- Advanced Excel skills. Knowledge Power BI.
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
