WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Manager Procurement Operations & Processes is responsible for establishing, standardizing, and continuously improving global procurement systems and processes to enable reliable business operations and sustainable value creation.
This role plays a key part in the evolution of procurement from pure data generation to value creation, by transforming data into actionable insights, strengthening governance, integrating ESG requirements, and enabling effective business partnering. In addition, the role includes category ownership for Logistics Procurement in Europe. Core tasks will be:
- Establish, standardize, and continuously improve global end-to-end procurement processes and align a procurement operating model.
- Drive the transition from transactional data generation to value-based insights and decision support.
- Translate raw procurement data into meaningful information for performance management and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure strong governance and compliance through standardized policies, global procedures, and defined controls.
- Define, implement, and monitor procurement KPIs to track performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Own and coordinate global procurement ESG activities, ensuring ESG principles are embedded into processes, tools, and supplier management.
- Develop and implement globally standardized processes and tools in areas such as: Procurement strategy development, Contract and risk management, Market and supplier intelligence
- Act as Procurement Category Owner for Logistics in Europe and lead supplier relationships, sourcing initiatives, cost optimization, and risk mitigation within the logistics category.
- Lead and develop the Procurement Operations team located in India, ensuring efficient resource utilization and high performance.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability across global procurement teams.
WHAT WE ARE SEEKING
- Completed university degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in relevant area.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement, ideally in an international or global environment.
- First leadership experience, including people management or functional leadership.
- Strong understanding of global procurement operations, governance, and process optimization.
- Experience translating data into insights and supporting strategic decision-making.
- Excellent analytical and structured thinking skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, multicultural organization.
- Hands-on, proactive mindset with a strong focus on execution and continuous improvement.
- Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Position is located at Weiterstadt (GER) or Bergen op Zoom (NL)
